English

Guillermo Rauch announces Vercel CLI as a self-updating binary with zero external dependencies. He frames it as a key interface enabling the 'cloud for agents'—every day he hears from customers discovering Vercel after OpenClaw, Claude Code, or Codex onboard them to agentic infrastructure.

The backstory: they built pkg years ago for this exact vision, but deprioritized it when Git and Web took off. Now the situation is inverted—the CLI, MCP, and SDKs are key enablers of the new agent wave.

This is a concrete example of how agent toolchains are reshaping cloud infrastructure priorities.

Vercel CLI as a self-updating binary with zero external dependencies. Our CLI is one of the key interfaces enabling the 'cloud for agents'.

Every day, I hear from customers discovering Vercel after OpenClaw, Claude Code, or Codex not only introduce, but also onboard users to our agentic infrastructure. Our CLI (as well as our MCP and SDKs) is a key enabler of this new wave.

结论:大概应该直接把钱投进 Anthropic/OpenAI。

Matt Turck's viral 619-like post is a satirical day-in-the-life of a VC in 2026. The day starts with a board meeting where his main value-add is pushing for Anthropic/OpenAI usage in non-engineering functions—he briefly ponders how he became an SDR for foundation model companies.

Lunch with another VC: discussing how startups can find blue ocean away from Anthropic/OpenAI. Conclusion: probably just invest directly into Anthropic/OpenAI. Pitch meeting: founder runs on both. Due diligence: asking Claude and ChatGPT if they plan to build this startup natively—both say yes, deal passed.

The day ends with an urgent call from a portfolio CTO needing an intro to upgrade their Anthropic tier, and brainstorming podcast guests from—you guessed it—Anthropic and OpenAI.

State of Enterprise AI / 企业 AI 实况

The MAD Podcast avatarTM

最热的话题之一是 internal FDE(Field Deployment Engineers)角色——需要什么技术人才来部署 agent 系统。

English

Matt Turck interviews Box CEO Aaron Levie on the state of Enterprise AI 2026. Key topics: token costs are soaring, model progress is paradoxically slowing enterprise deployment because breakthroughs obsolete the last thing you implemented, headless software is rising, internal FDEs are emerging as a critical role, and startups can still win by building on top of the foundation model layer rather than competing with it.

In this episode, we get into the most pressing topics in enterprise AI right now, including soaring token costs, why AI model progress is paradoxically slowing down enterprise deployment, the rise of headless software, the emergence of internal FDEs, and where startups can still win.

The problem is the breakthroughs keep happening faster than the customer can implement any kind of standard architecture. And those breakthroughs oftentimes make obsolete the last thing you implemented.

We are still incredibly early. That's the really big TLDR. Everybody just started figuring out their final rollout plans for the chat system in the enterprise.

Any enterprise software company in three years from now that gets through this AI transformation period, it will have a seat business model and a consumption business model.
